- Arlanda Airport: Leave the airport and follow the E4 towards Stockholm. When approaching the outskirts of the city follow signs for Södermalm until you reach a bridge where you can see the old town on your left hand side. Stay on the right lane of the bridge and do not proceed into main tunnel. Follow signs for Nacka/Hornstall. Turn right and you will leave Söderleden. Turn left at the traffic lights on Södernalarstraad follow signs towards Hornstall. Continue along the Harbour until the first traffic lights. Proceed in the left lane and up the street leaving Södenalarstraad. Turn left at the next traffic lights and continue two blocks. Turn right. You are now on Mariatorget. You will see the hotel on the opposite side of the market square. Welcome to the Hotel Rival.

- Bar & Bistro - Open Monday to Saturday from 11.30am, for good, quick food. We serve classic Swedish dishes, fine wines by the glass, and hot snacks. Dinner is available six days a week, with lunch served every weekday. This is also the where we serve our delicious breakfast buffet every morning. In addition to Scandinavian favourites we have cooked breakfasts, including scrambled eggs, omelettes, pancakes, sausages and bacon.:

- Vasa Ship - When the Vasa set sail in 1628, she was probably the world's most powerful warship. but she sank on her maiden voyage. When the Vasa was raised in 1961, a new adventure began - one that is still under way.:
- Royal Palace - The Palace is situated in the Old Town, and is built on the remains of its predecessor, Tre Kronor, which was destroyed by fire in 1697. The new building is one the most remarkable Baroque buildings of northern Europe. Although the palace is still used by the King as a place of work, he and his family reside in the palace at Drottningholm.:
- City Hall - One of Sweden's most interesting and imposing buildings, both in terms of its architecture and its interiors. Situated approximately 3.2km (2 miles) from the Hotel Rival.:
